5 Effective Ways to get out of your Comfort Zone
1. Accept that you are not perfect
Are you often afraid of what others think about you? That you let someone down or make an embarrassing mistake? Then wake up! Secretly you want to do it all or be perfect. Firstly, this is not feasible, and secondly, it is not fun. Do something crazy! Go dancing at the market, grab that microphone in a karaoke bar, and sing along to the songs. Daring to be imperfect and being vulnerable connects you with others.
2. Get rid of your fear
What are you terrified of? Please make a list of your fear and make sure everything is on it, from your fear of snakes to the fear of being rejected. Then you will make a plan to tackle each fear step by step. So are you terrified of snakes? Then go to the zoo and find that snake. Step by step, introduce yourself to your fears. As soon as you look your fear straight in the eye, it will dissolve on its own.

3. Detach yourself from the result
By staying in your comfort zone, you know exactly what will happen. And the fear of the unknown will keep you in that zone. The trick is to let go of your expectations and accept the results of your actions. Make sure you take measured risks. Are you involved in marketing? Try out which messages appeal to your target group and which do not. Fool around with a task or project where you shift the focus of the result to your learning process. Look objectively at the results of your actions; what works and what doesn’t? Use these lessons to grow.
4. Meet up with someone completely different
We often choose to meet up with people who have the same interests. Try to find someone much crazier than you. By hanging out with someone who dares to try many more things, the adventurous side in you is also awakened. Be open-minded and notice the difference between daring to do much more.
5. Visualize your success

If you visualize your successes for a few minutes a day, you will be much more willing to take the risks that come with it. Give your brain a break and daydream about your future success. You will be amazed at the result. Plus, you have a clear drive & reason why you take those risks. Do you find it difficult to imagine this by daydreaming? Then make a mood board!
Should you now run around naked, quit your job, and cycle through the Sahara? No, Fortunately not!
